Full Moon in Gemini
Tonight, 12/18, we experience our last Full Moon of the year in connecting and whip-smart Gemini, and with it’s good alignment to Jupiter, it’s helping us close out the year with good luck, a stronger likelihood for a glass-half-full attitude, and abundance.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the wing-footed messenger of the Gods - quick-witted, lively, mercurial, and stories for days.
Many of us have moments where all we want is “a sign,” or “a message” about where to go, or what to do. The truth is that there are signs and messages around us all the time, and whether we see them depends on how closely we pay attention. (Tosha Silver wrote a great book called, Outrageous Openness: Letting the Divine Lead the Way, all about noticing these signs and trusting them. I highly recommend it!) With all the light of the Universe shining on what may usually seem hidden, it’s a great time to really keep your eyes open for signs you may need now, and also to look back over the last year at signs that you may have missed, or ignored. Don’t beat yourself up about it, just look honestly at when the world around you was trying to tell you something, and for whatever reason, you chose not to listen.
(Since it’s Gemini Moon, I’m feeling pretty chatty, so here’s a little example: a few years ago I was really struggling with whether or not to stay in a relationship, and so when I was at a studio waiting to start teaching a class, I said, “God, please send me a sign to tell me what to do.” The next person who walked into the studio was wearing a sweatshirt that had huge print across the front that read, “Break Up With Your Boyfriend.” This is not a joke.)
Today and tomorrow are great days to reconnect with old friends, to make new ones, and to reminisce about stories that elevate your mind and bring you back to a place of joy. We’ve been in such doom and gloom for almost 2 years that sometimes we miss out on the beauty that has also occurred during this time, so it’s a great day to touch in with those moments, even if they are only a few.
