The Yoga cannon is full of so many stories that span short parables to epic texts. Even if read only at face value, each story is full of beautiful lessons that break down the barriers of dogma often associated with ancient texts, opening the way for the lessons that are universal in nature. In this three part workshop, we will look at one of my favorite texts in great detail in an effort to go beyond the stories and into the deeper spiritual meanings that can help guide our lives; The Ramayana. This is a story of love, deceit, duty, adventure and purpose. Each session, I will tell a part of the story, we will chant, and engage in heart-centered discussion around the themes from that day.
This offering will be held in person (location tbd) as well as online for those who can’t make it, or would like to watch the recordings. We will meet September 15, 22 and 29 from 10-11:30am PST.
This workshop is suitable and accessible for anyone who is interested in deepening their understanding of Yoga Philosophy as well as how to live a good and righteous life.
All classes are recorded for those who can’t make the live sessions.
