Full Moon in Aries

On October 17, the Moon shines its fullness as it faces the Sun and reflects its light. As this full moon is in the sign of Aries, and both the Sun and the Moon are in extremely tense relationships with the planet Mars, there is a high chance for emotional ruptures, fires and flagrant demands.

Aries is such a beautifully exuberant sign. It is a sign of childlike wonder, passion, leadership, self-determination and joy. It is also a sign of childlike temper tantrums, unhinged and unguided emotion, self-centeredness and anger. For an individual, which of these versions of Aries will present is dependent on how much introspective work they have done and how much responsibility they have taken for their own experience of life.
Different parts of each sign are magnified depending on which planet calls it home. When the Moon is in Aries, the emotionality of Aries comes to the forefront. This often looks like bursts of emotion that are so intense it is difficult to know how they could be withstood. This includes joy, passion, love, anger, hatred and the rest. In these flare-ups, people often lose sight of the importance of patience, emotional stability and embodied peace. This is when rash decisions are made, regrettable words are spoken, and unsustainable actions are taken.
When the baser emotions are the ones commanding the spotlight in the moment, there is a beginning or continuation of a cycle of pain.

Mars is the planet that governs Aries — it is a planet that energizes and catalyzes whatever it touches. This isn’t inherently a bad thing. Sometimes certain parts of us need a little kick to get us on our way. However, when Mars is in a strained relationship with another planet (in this case both the Sun and the Moon), there is a much higher probability that the volatile components of each planet and their respective signs will show up to the party all jockeying for center stage.
In the lower vibrations, Mars in Cancer is moody and tempestuous, the Sun in Libra is consumed by how it is being cheated out of what is fair and just for itself, and the Moon in Aries is a volcano of childish emotion ready to explode.
In other words, we gotta be careful out there!

However, that is not the whole story.
In Astrology, these difficult relationships between planets also offer us avenues to vast amounts of growth. In this case the combination of planets could result in great amounts of energy being put towards each of our own unique inner knowings (Moon in Aries) being brought to the table in order to take nurturing action (Mars in Cancer) for harmony and peace (Sun in Libra).
The Astrology of the moment would indicate that the way we can do this is to tap into Jupiter’s current prosperous relationship to the Sun. We need to do whatever is necessary to remember that the world is incredibly abundant (Jupiter), and there is enough of everything for us all.
In a world that screams at us that there is a finite amount of love, happiness, money, etc, this is a big task. Surround yourself with those who want to take up the mantle of breaking the strain by moving down a more abundant and graceful path.
