Full Moon in Pisces & Partial Eclipse

Pisces is a truly magical sign. As much as Virgo is obsessed with order, Pisces is equally obsessed with the unbound. It is a sign that holds a deep connection to Spirit, the angelic realms, and all mystical things that seem just out of reach. In its highest, Pisces fully expresses the understanding that the material world and the spiritual world are always linked by the Divine so that each always knows of the other. This is what the symbol of Pisces represents: two fish swimming in what looks to be opposite directions, but never able to pull apart as they are tied together in their watery dance. Pisces energy is oracle energy; soul healing energy; unifying energy.
Pisces in its lower vibration is also the sign of the victim and the martyr. The sign of “woe is me.” It is a sign that can amplify delusion, one of the most detrimental of those being that we are the victims of life, and the only way to get people to understand this is by playing the part of the martyr.
Of course there are moments in life when the word “victim” is entirely warranted, and perhaps even empowering for those who have been unable to name that harm was done to them. With that said, most of the ways in which we play the victim are unnecessary, they steal the attention that would often be more helpful elsewhere, and when we hold onto the notion that we are a victim of life, we completely disempower ourselves from co-creating with life.

On September 17/18 we are under a Full Moon in Pisces as well as a partial Lunar Eclipse. Eclipses are known to amplify whatever energetic is most prominent for the Sun or the Moon depending on the type of eclipse — in this case the Moon.
The Moon is symbolic of our unconscious mind; the deep part of the mind that whispers to us toxic patterns from unhealed wounds; the part that develops in our dreams in order to get our attention so that when we wake up we have a thread to pull on that will help unravel the mystery of its origin; the part that houses our most underutilized resource, our intuition.
During a Full Moon in Pisces, coupled with a partial eclipse, we have an incredible opportunity to ask the spirit of deep waters to dissolve any unconscious bindings that keep us tethered the consciousness of martyrdom or victimhood.
This opportunity is made even more magnificent because Neptune (the ruling planet of Pisces) is right next to the Moon adding even more waves of the unconscious mind as they break on the shores of consciousness.
During this eclipse, the Sun is also in a powerful relationship with Pluto (also associated with the unconscious) and Uranus (known to bring lightning bolt inspiration the power of which can create great change). If you ask the subconscious to show you what it has been hiding, be prepared for transformational insight that could change how live into both the spiritual and material realms, and what must be let go of in order to experience that balance in its true perfection.

Release any need, known or unknown, to cast yourself as the victim.
Release any need, known or unknown, to cast yourself as the saintly martyr.
Soften the border between your ego and your spirit.
Soften the border between your body and your soul.
