Today we are experiencing another new moon in Cancer just as we did one month ago. When we experience two new moons in the same sign a month apart with the first happening early in the sign and the second occurring towards the end, we call the second one a "Black Moon," and this only occurs every 2-3 years. It is some powerful energy to work on harnessing!

Welcome to the end of Eclipse Season.

This Sunday, July 5, we will experience a Full Moon in Capricorn along with the final Lunar Eclipse of the season as well as the end of the two year Capricorn-Cancer eclipse cycle.

Today is a New Moon in Cancer, and at the exact minute of its peak it passed over the Sun creating a full Solar Eclipse which brought about the image of a "ring of fire" for those who could see it. Many in the Astrology world see a Solar Eclipse as the unconscious self (the Moon) overshadowing the conscious self (the Sun).

It's time to think big again!  Today is a New Moon in Gemini, which as an air sign enhances the workings of the mind. With the Sun, Venus and Mercury all in that same sign, there is sure to be an uptick in mental energy. This could take the route of new, fresh ideas, or it could descend into overthinking and rash and immature communication.

While many are referring to this moon as the "Flower Moon" to signify the flowers that bloom during this Spring month, it is also known as the "Buddha Moon" because it is said to be the moon under which the Buddha became enlightened.
